My knowledge is based on experience, gathered in various jobs I’ve had in the wonderful world of IT.
My employers have, among others, been:
- EY (Ernst & Young) ICT, where I learned to work with Windows Networking and software repackaging and –distribution, and where I took my first steps in creating manuals and documentation using Microsoft Word;
- Sykes Enterprises (USA), where I used Microsoft Excel and API-programming to generate reports for our account managers, and kept the data retrieved through API-calls in a locally managed database (Microsoft SQL Server), some of which was used to power an intranet website (Microsoft IIS with Classic ASP);
- United States Air Force (Non-Appropriated Funds Employee) (USA), where I was the SysAdmin of a Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 Active Directory domain (in the library of an air force base in the Midwest), with Windows Vista/7 Workstations, managed through Group Policies.
Right now, I’m fulfilling the role of Configuration Manager at an international IT Service and hardware provider, which shall remain unnamed until I either retire, quit, or get my ass sacked.
